Who we are
This website is UrologyAndMensHealth.com, run by Dr. Muhammad Khalid, a urologist licensed by the Irish Medical Council (MBBS, FCPS Urology, MCPS General Surgery, IMC #539472). The site is operated from Pakistan and provides general educational health information, written guides, and self-assessment tools for men’s health to an international audience. It does not provide medical advice or treatment — please read our Medical Disclaimer.
This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. If you have any questions, you can reach us through our contact page.
The short version
We keep data collection to a minimum, and we never ask for sensitive medical or identity details. The calculators and symptom checkers on this site run entirely inside your own browser — the answers you enter are not sent to us or stored on our servers. The only personal information we hold is what you choose to give us, such as an email address when you sign up for a guide or send us a message. We do not sell or rent your email address, name, or contact details to anyone.
This site is supported by advertising, which is managed for us by Mediavine. Advertising partners may set cookies and use technical information such as your IP address, device type, and the pages you view in order to serve and measure ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising — see Mediavine Programmatic Advertising below.
Health tools and calculators — your inputs stay in your browser
Every calculator, scoring instrument, and symptom checker on this site is designed to run client-side, meaning the calculation happens on your own device. The symptoms, scores, measurements, or answers you enter are processed in your browser to produce your result and any downloadable PDF report. This information is not transmitted to our servers, not logged, and not stored by us. When you close the page or refresh it, those inputs are gone.
If a tool generates a PDF report, that file is created inside your browser and saved to your own device. We do not receive a copy.
Advertising does not change this. Where a page carries advertising, the ad scripts operate independently of the tool. The values you enter into a calculator or symptom checker are not passed to advertisers and are not used to target advertising to you.
Separately, some tools offer an optional email sign-up to receive a related guide. If you choose to enter your email there, that single action is handled as described in the “Email sign-ups” section below — it is the only point at which a tool sends any information off your device, and only because you asked it to.
Information you give us
We collect personal information only when you actively provide it:
- Email sign-ups: if you subscribe to a guide or newsletter, we collect the email address (and name, if you provide one) that you enter.
- Contact and forms: if you send us a message through a contact form, we collect the details you submit, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message, so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, some technical information is collected automatically when you visit, mainly to keep the site secure, working, and useful:
- Usage and analytics data: pages viewed, time on site, general device and browser type, and an approximate region (such as country), collected through Google Analytics 4.
- Server and security logs: our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
- Caching and delivery: our content delivery and caching service processes requests so pages load quickly and reliably.
- Advertising data: our advertising partners collect technical information such as IP address, device and operating system type, browser type, site language, and interactions with ads, in order to serve and measure advertising. This is described in full in the Mediavine Programmatic Advertising section below.
How we use your information
- To send the guides or newsletter you signed up for, and to reply to messages you send us.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve the content and tools.
- To keep the site secure and to diagnose technical problems.
- To display advertising that helps fund the free content and tools on this site.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making. We do not sell or rent your email address, name, or contact details to anyone. Advertising is handled separately by Mediavine and is described in the Mediavine Programmatic Advertising section below.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. This site uses a limited set:
- Essential cookies needed for the site and its caching to function.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used.
- Advertising cookies set by Mediavine and its advertising partners to serve, measure, and personalize the ads shown on this site.
- Third-party cookies that may be set when you click an affiliate link (see below).
Where required by law, you will be shown a consent notice when you first visit, allowing you to accept or refuse non-essential cookies. You can change that choice at any time using the privacy controls on the site. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
Email sign-ups
Our email sign-ups are handled by MailerLite. When you subscribe, your email address (and name, if given) is stored by MailerLite so we can send you the guide you requested and occasional related updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. MailerLite processes this data on our behalf; you can read how they handle it in the MailerLite Privacy Policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic in aggregate. It reports on things like which pages are popular and what devices people use. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy, and you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links, including links through the Amazon Associates Program. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and the third-party site may set its own cookies. This does not change what we recommend — for the full picture, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
Advertising
This site carries display advertising, which is managed for us by Mediavine. Advertising is what allows the articles and clinical tools on this site to remain free to read and use.
Mediavine and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve, measure, and personalize the ads you see. The technical details of what is collected, who it is shared with, and how to opt out are set out in full below.
Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)
The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.
First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, “Tags”) may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser’s cache. The “help” feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser’s cache. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at All About Cookies.
Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.
The Website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads:
- IP Address
- Operating System type
- Operating System version
- Device Type
- Language of the website
- Web browser type
- Email (in hashed form)
Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor’s referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.
If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices to opt-in or opt-out of this data collection, please visit National Advertising Initiative opt out page. You may also visit Digital Advertising Alliance website and Network Advertising Initiative website to learn more information about interest-based advertising. You may download the AppChoices app at Digital Advertising Alliance’s AppChoices app to opt out in connection with mobile apps, or use the platform controls on your mobile device to opt out.
For specific information about Mediavine Partners, the data each collects and their data collection and privacy policies, please visit Mediavine Partners.
Who we share your data with
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed for them to do their job:
- MailerLite — email sign-ups and delivery.
- Google Analytics — site usage measurement.
- Mediavine and its advertising partners — serving, measuring, and personalizing advertising.
- Our hosting and content-delivery providers — serving and securing the website.
We do not sell or rent your email address, name, or contact details, and we do not share them with advertisers.
Advertising does involve sharing certain technical information — such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view — with Mediavine and its advertising partners so that ads can be served and measured. Under some privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, this activity may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out at any time using the privacy controls on this site or the opt-out links in the Mediavine Programmatic Advertising section above.
How long we keep your data
- Email sign-ups: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Messages you send us: kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry and a reasonable period afterward.
- Analytics and server logs: kept for a limited period in line with our providers’ standard retention settings.
- Advertising data: retained by Mediavine and its partners in line with their own retention policies, which you can review through the partner list linked above.
International data transfers
This site is operated from Pakistan, and our service providers (such as Google, MailerLite, and Mediavine) are based in various countries, mainly the United States. This means that if you visit from the EU, UK, or elsewhere, your information may be processed in countries outside your own, including outside the European Economic Area. Wherever your information is handled, we keep it to the minimum described in this policy and rely on providers that apply recognized data-protection safeguards.
Your rights
Under data-protection law, including the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and request a copy.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your personal data.
- Object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent (for example, by unsubscribing).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. If you are in the EU or UK and believe we have not handled your data properly, you also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority in your own country.
US state privacy rights
If you live in California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.
To opt out of personalized advertising on this site, use the privacy or consent controls shown on the site, or the industry opt-out links in the Mediavine Programmatic Advertising section above. If you opt out, you will still see advertising, but it will not be personalized. To exercise any other right, contact us through our contact page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Data security
This site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable measures to protect the limited personal information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site addresses adult men’s health topics and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 for advertising purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or to the law. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
